Writer's Block: The Soundtrack of My Life

What songs would you include on the "soundtrack of your life?"

View 264 Answers

Most Disney songs (to make me feel like a child)
Josh Groban: To Where You Are, Believe, You are Loved, Remember When it Rained
Clay Aiken: The Way, Invisible, Go the Distance (not released)
Bryan Adams: Everything I Do (I Do for You), Summer of '69
The Arrogant Worms (pretty much any song)
Newsboys (pretty much any song)
Boney M: Rasputin
Dead or Alive: You Spin Me
Petra: Creed
Chicago (the band not the musical)
Summertime (the song)
Any Jazz standard
Most Classical (not so much modern classical)
I think that this is a pretty good soundtrack.  Obviously it would be on random so that I can remember different parts at different times.

Writer's Block: Do You Believe?

What...Santa doesn't exist.  Thanks for breaking my already torn heart.

When did you stop believing in Santa Claus and why?

Friends

Ok, so for the past week I have been watching the Friends Seasons.  I have always loved Joey (Matt LeBlanc).  I am up to season 8 and I have just seen Joey's sweetest episode.  Here is the synopsis.

Season 8, Episode 7: The One with the Stain

Original Air Date: 8 November 2001
Chandler hires a maid to clean the apartment and Monica promises to give her a chance. Eric broke up with Ursula and asks Phoebe out for lunch but he is still upset about Ursula and can't look at Phoebe without seeing Ursula. Rachel is looking for an apartment because she can't stay with Joey once the baby is here. Monica is very patient with the cleaning lady but thinks the girl stole her jeans and is wearing them. Monica remembers dropping ink and making a stain in the crotch of the jeans and tries to find out if they really are her jeans. Phoebe and Eric make out but then Eric accidentally has sex with Ursula thinking it's Phoebe and that's the end of Phoebe and Eric's relationship. Monica makes Chandler make a move on Brenda to see whether the jeans are stained or not. It turns out Rachel borrowed Monica's jeans but Brenda quit already. Joey doesn't want Rachel to move out so he builds a baby room in his apartment to show Rachel that it would work with all of them living there. Rachel decides to stay with Joey.

I love Joey, he is the best character in the show.  He is funny but he also has some of the sweetest scenes.

Writer's Block: Pickup Artist

The worst pick up line I've ever heard is "I'm a love pirate and I'm here for your booty...ARRRGGGGGG".  I must say though that it is rather amusing.

What's the worst pickup line you've ever heard?

Perfect Way to start Spring Break

Ok, so I think Friday night was the best night I have had in a long time.  Crystal, Lisa, and I went to see a choir called Prairie Voices.  I knew a few people in it so it was nice to go out and support them.  Upon arriving at the Church I knew that Mike Schellenberg would be there so we saved him and his sister Laurel a seat.  The moment the concert started I was completely amazed.  I knew that this choir was one of high calliber but what I heard was not at all what I was expecting.  The variety of musical styles that was included in this concert was also amazing.  To see the guys sing "What Shall we Do with a Drunken Sailor" and have a perfect view of Matt Neufeld looking constipated was completely worth the the $8.  For those who knew people in the concert but did not go all I have to say is "For Shame, you missed an absolutely amazing nights!"

On another note, reading break has started and so this week I will be at the school working on a few very large assignments.  Graduation is fast approaching and there is so much to still be done.

I can't believe some FRESHMEN

Oh my word...I cannot believe how closed-minded some freshmen are right now. I have been reading some responses to their blogs (that is an assignment for the new NT course) and they completely believe that everything that Revelation says will happen will actually happen. Now I used to be in that camp, but now that I have taken so many BTS classes I have learned better. I think the thing that bugs me the most is that they will dismiss an idea just because it isn't what they grew up being taught in Sunday School. I'm sorry but OPEN YOUR MIND TO OTHER IDEAS!!!  EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO OFFER AND A BIT OF INFORMATION THAT YOU CAN LEARN FROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Moment of Silence Please

Ok, so many of you probably will not care about what I have to type about but when I found out I was quite saddened. I was in our local Christian bookstore and I decided to pick up the new Newsboys album. I was checking out and the cashier told me that Phil Joel has left the group. Yes that is right, Phil Joel (long, beautiful, blond hair) is GONE. My big question is, Who is going to replace him? In my mind no one can. All I have to say is, Phil I look forward to many more solo projects from you...You are awesome.

My opinion on events as of the past few days

OK, so Saddam is dead on charges of ordering the murder of 182 people. The United States is all happy, and yet I have found myself asking the question, what about the genocide in Africa? It doesn't seem as though any of the powerful countries are trying to help. The leaders of these countries have massacured millions and yet all the world seems to care about is that Saddam is dead. I'm sorry but there are worse people out there and Canada or the United States seem to not be stepping in over there to "provide aid against terrorism". I guess it must be that if "they aren't hurting us then why should we step in?"

Sorry about this rant, but I felt it is needed.

Bored

Ok, so I have only been home for 1 day and I am already bored. I finally finished my paper (which I think is absolutely horrid but I have no more brillance left in me) and now I am completely bored. I also realized that I miss my Prov friends especially ones that like to snuggle (that is for you Julia). All I want to do is go around campus causing mischief and watch Stargate (ok now I'm a nerd).

Tomorrow I think I'm going to Barrie to see some people, that will be very nice. Oh and I also have a doctors appointment on the 19th to see if I will need to have further testing done in regards to my arm tiredness (I sure hope not but I probably will).

My flight was the best flight I've had on Air Canada yet. It was a smaller plane, bigger seats, and it had personal tv (meaning I could watch whatever, I had the choice of 25 movies) so I ended up watching the Illusionist. I had 10 minutes left in the movie and we had to prepare for landing. I was not happy, but I had enjoyed it to that point.

Well I should probably get to bed. Busy day tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great break.

Christmas Banquet

Hello All
So this evening was the Providence annual Christmas Banquet. This year my friend Mallorie and I decided to appy for the position of "Christmas Banquet Date" to a Mr. Paul Eikelboom. To say the least this evening was full of much needed fun and Dancing, yes you read right DANCING! Here are some pictures from the evening. The first one is of Julia sitting on Santa's knee, followed by Mallorie and I next to Santa. The next picture is a dinner picture with me on the left Paul in the middle and Mallorie on the right (don't we look gorgeous). Ending with a picture of Paul and I. To say the least it was a very fun night, wish some of you could have been there (that is to those who weren't).

May you all be blessed this weekend
